Once you’ve rooted your G2 Phone, what’s next? (other than being able to install root-only apps?)
Well, you can install new ROMs, like you can already get Android 2.3 Gingerbread (like I do) on your G2 Phone and enjoy all the new powers of Gingerbread before the official update is out.
But how do you install new ROMs?
There’s several ways to install new ROMs but the easiest method is by using ROM Manager app, a free app you can install from the Market.
Once you install the ROM Manager app, you will want to “flash” your ROM with recovery. Don’t worry if this makes no sense to you, it’s very easy to do, here’s a step-by-step tutorial video showing you how:

Head’s up – note using “adb” command to use the PC command. “adb” is not a linux native command.
cut and paste making sure to encapsulate the line feed or enter so you can do the next line from the ascii character where the previous cut and paste ended.
Go line by line or using notepad generate a “.bat” file
So far so good! Backing up right now!
@Edward White
are you typing “adb” in Windows? it isn’t a native linux command. cut and paste each line or create a batch file.
So Far so Good!!! (backing up now …takes a while)
